The race "Das Braune Band von Deutschland" was a simple race over 2400 meters for horses 3years old or older and was part and highlight of the "International Riemer Race Week" or "Das Braune Band von Deutschland". This consisted of 20 other races including steeplechases. Between 1934 and 1944 these races were held annually during the summer. One race day was intended for amateur riders. The races were intended for international response.
