Still there were a few local specialities and also there was a Transition period there Austrian and German stamps were allowed to be used at the same time. Since the postage fee System was quiet difficult, I suggest to buy a "Michel Special Deutschland" or "Michel Postgebührenhandbuch". You get both quite resonable at ebay.
